March 2018 Update!

  • BrightView Landscape Update: Depending on the weather, BrightView will begin the spring cleanup in the next couple of weeks. They will be cutting back the tall grasses and pruning any other perennials. They will also do a deep pruning on Hydrangea bushes located at front entryways. This will help keep them from overgrowing at entryways. As you walk around Cantera or at least in your area, we would appreciate everyone picking up litter to help in the cleanup of Cantera.
  • Groot has altered their schedule. They now pick up recycling and trash at the same time (for the past few weeks it has been in the late morning). Your best bet is to put these out late at night, secured and closed, or very early in the morning to ensure pick-up. Please pick up any trash that has blown away.
  • In addition to trash, please also make sure you are picking up after your dog.
  • Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Easter!

Weather Update, Feb 6 2018

This is an update from our snow removal contractor, BrightView:

It appears we are going to have a busy week with snow. The long range forecast is showing snow every night this week except Wednesday. However, it’s still early and things can change quickly. We do know that we are expecting a snow event tonight with snow fall ranging from 1”-3” beginning around 9PM and ending around midnight.

Weather Update, Feb 5 2018

I’ve managed to get my hands on these reports again.

This is an update from our snow removal contractor, BrightView:

We are expecting a measurable snow event this afternoon with expected amounts between 3″-5″ beginning around noon and ending tonight around 11PM. Due to the unexpected amount of snow that came down yesterday (1″-1.5″) we are planning to perform a plowing in early afternoon and then again towards the end of the storm. If the snow amounts change we will adjust plans accordingly.

The forecast is also showing us to stay below the freezing mark not allowing any of the expected snow to melt off. We are expecting another event to come in as early as Tuesday or possibly Wednesday. This event does not appear to deliver more than 1″-1.5″.

We will review plans to present to the Board for repair/replacement of irrigation systems and replacement of dead or missing shrubs and plants in 2018.
